REVIEW EXCERPTS:
This name caused me to look up MLA, APA, and Chicago-style formatting to make sure I was doing it right, Christ. (…) im draußen bricht sich das drinnen caused some confusion at first. I sampled a bit, it sounded on par with our usual angle, then I popped it in the player and it sounded too peaceful, at least for the mood I was in. But, persistent are these Germans, and they kept sending PMs on Facebook telling me I was stupid, so I gave it a thorough listen, finally, after all these months. I should have figured with the beautiful, and aesthetically designed box it came in that there was more to this release than I first assumed. o graceful musing’s burden, who I’ll just call OGMB now since you all only have the mental capacity to read texts anymore, have an amazing amount of artistry. IDBSDD (yeah, you know it) is a shoegazer gone razor-pit enthusiast, for an interesting combination. All without vocals, might I add, a feat worth the listen alone. Further, their combination of so many genres that never confuse themselves is also quite amazing. A ton of ground is covered here, more than I could possibly extrapolate upon in a full review, let alone this paragraph, or even a Bible. This is one of the few bands I’d say, without a doubt, will never need a singer. Truly a remarkable for that aspect. (www.deafsparrow.com/2016/07/24/cassette-assault-stuff/)

"O Graceful Musing’s Burden has a really broad musical palette. (...) For an instrumental band, OGMB provides plenty of imagery, hidden with their quiet/loud dynamic, only occasionally breaking into upbeat post-rock territory. Their compositions follow each other without pause and are linked via subtle ambience. (...) They may be a three-piece, but this band sure knows how to create big soundscapes that touch your soul. There are also subtle hints of screamo and indie melodies in Ianus, but I say that in hushed tones as I’m sure the band sees them as more experimental textures instead. These three tracks come in at nearly an hour and are totally worth the time. OGMB have written and released music that speaks more than any band with a traditional frontman as it’s mouthpiece. If the album doesn’t restore your faith in originality and creativity in music, especially in the wake of a certain rap star proclaiming he’s the “greatest rock star in the world”, then quite frankly you need your head seeing to. There’s more to our lives than the manufactured shite that mainstream media feeds us and this is where you start to realise it."

"Arriving in a beautifully hand-crafted package, today we have “im draußen bricht sich das drinnen” from the German band O Graceful Musing’s Burden (OGMB). In this very atmospheric release, we are treated to around 50 minutes of very emotional and magical music. Perfectly blending Post-Rock soundscapes with some Folk and Post-Metal/Post-Black Metal outburst, the band continues to refine their very unique sound with the powerful release. (...) Overall, OGMB have managed to impress us beyond what they did a few years back with their “Two” release. The band has a very polished sound and all elements come together in great harmony to create lush music that will haunt you for days. If you are looking for a mixture of atmospheric Post-Rock with heavier elements and no vocals (besides the clean passages), this is one release that should be in your collection."
